Making good men better. It is an often-said phrase in the various Masonic institutions. When said, it does not mean making a man better than others, but simply that Freemasonry contributes to the growth and betterment of the individual. Our fraternity strives to make men "better" than they would be without it - better able to serve their Supreme Being, their family, their brothers, neighbors, communities, countries, and humankind.
